Summer Scholarship Programme 2020

This week, the Friends of Kings Park were pleased to welcome our new students in our 2020/2021 Kings Park Summer Scholarship programme.  The students are undertaking a wide range of projects:

Kalinda MillerEfficacy of flash drying as a cryopreservation technique for recalcitrant species
Eliza DriffillThe importance of mitochondrial function during cryopreservation and recovery
Analise ReEffect of burning on plant community change in Kings Park
Casey RyanDetermining the fundamental range of germination conditions in species from
the jarrah forest
Ashley BrowseTowards a pollen library for Banksia woodlands
Dylan GibsonEcophysiological assessment of fitness associated with provenance of
Eucalyptus todtiana
Lachlan McRaeIs heterosis associated with wide outcrossing in Tetratheca erubescens
Monica RothwellRooting strategies and survival of banksias in Hanson restoration
Taylah HanksSeed carriers to aid in restoration

At the end of the programme, members will be invited to attend a presentation by these students on their research findings.
