A message to our members

20 March, 2020

Dear Friends of Kings Park Members

As we’re sure you’re aware, we are currently dealing with uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 and our ongoing operations. Firstly, we want to thank you for your support of the Friends of Kings Park and in particular, our modified Plant Sale last weekend. The good news is we had a very successful Plant Sale, with patient and happy customers and takings of approximately $30,000!

As the COVID-19 situation evolves, we are taking measures to ensure that our volunteers are protected. We have scaled back many of our volunteer operations, as have the Kings Park Guides, Volunteer Master Gardeners and Honour Avenue Group. Volunteers will have received direct communication from the Friends office with details of these changes.
Please ensure you check your emails for up to date advice from your Volunteer Group.

We are committed to continuing the work of the Friends, support BGPA and our precious natural resource, and are looking at ways to offer our Native Plant Sale in a new format. The May Plant Sale will not proceed in the usual way, we’ll send more details about how plants will be sold soon.

We can assure you that you will continue to receive regular members’ newsletters and updates via email and the People & Plants magazine by mail. Keep an eye on your mailbox for the latest edition of People & Plants over the next few weeks!

We value our Friends of Kings Park family and once again thank you for your support. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions, feedback or ideas.

In the meantime, please make sure we have your up to date email address as this will be our main form of communication with you.

Our office is remaining open for now, but this might change at any time. Preferred contact is via email, which will continue to be monitored, whether our staff are on site or at home.

Take care, wishing you all good health!
