Please join the Friends of Kings Park as they celebrate their 25th anniversary with a special dinner at Fraser’s, Kings Park on Wednesday, 9 May starting at 6 pm. Tickets available from Trybooking are $80 for members and $100 for non-members, which includes canapes and a three course set menu dinner. Professor Stephen Hopper AC will present a talk titled “Koort and Kaatadjin – Hearts and Minds” the critical importance of the Friends of Kings Park on conserving the spirits of Kaata Koomber. It will be a fun evening which will include a silent auction. Dress is semi-formal with a touch of floral. Please contact the office if you have dietary restrictions. Ticket sales close on 6 May.

 

The Friends are holding a Photography Workshop on Sunday, 24 June commencing at 1 pm in the Green Room, Education Centre, Kings Park.  John Robinson is leading the Workshop which will be split into two parts:

Part 1:  Photography Basics $15

An introduction to the principles of photography, including composition, framing and lighting and the photography software tools available.  This is a basic workshop for a larger group and will run for approximately 1.5 hours.

Part 2: Practical Workshop $45 

Aimed at a smaller group – maximum of 10 people.  Participants bring along any type of camera (including phones), go out into the Park and take photos, then come back and learn how to correct and edit images.  This workshop will run for approximately 2 hours from 3 pm.
