The November Plant Sale will be held on Sunday 4 November 2018 from 8.30am to 12.00 noon (or earlier if the plants are sold out).

The sale will be located at the Exhibition Ground next to the Education Centre off Fraser Avenue (follow the signs on Fraser Ave).

Proceeds from the Friends Native Plant Sales support research and projects in Kings Park and Botanic Garden.


A comprehensive list of all plants available at this sale will be available here two weeks prior to the sale.

Native Gardening Advice

Plants will be arranged into specific categories at the sale. Friends of Kings Park and Kings Park Volunteer Master Gardeners will on hand at the sale to assist buyers looking for particular plants.

At the Sale

Members of the Friends of Kings Park receive a discount on plant sales and that new members joining at the plant sale will also receive this discount. Find out more about becoming a Friend of Kings Park and members benefits.

Customers are encouraged to bring their own boxes or bags, however Eco bags will also be available to purchase. We also encourage customers to make their purchases by EFTPOS or credit card transactions.

A pick up area has been set aside close to Exhibition Ground. Volunteers will be available to assist customers to transport their purchases to the pick-up area.

The Friends of Kings Park Annual General Meeting will be held at 6pm on Thursday 11th October 2018 in the Green Room, Education Building.

Wine and cheese will be served prior to the AGM at 5:30pm.

The term of all members of the Management Committee, including the President, Vice President and Treasurer expire at the conclusion of the AGM. Please consider if you would like to join the Committee, or encourage someone you know who could make a positive contribution, to nominate.

Nomination forms can be completed online on the Friends website and must be submitted by 2pm Thurs 4th October 2018.

At the conclusion of the AGM, our guest speaker will be Max Crowhurst, who will present stories from his plant collection adventures in the Recherche Archipelago group of islands in the Southern Ocean east of Esperance. The Recherche Archipelago is a group of 105 or so islands that stretch almost 230km from off the coast of Esperance to Israelite Bay, and an untouched haven for wildlife.
